Anavel Gato's Gelgoog, which I bought a long time ago but never unboxed. Its price once plummeted, then rose again. Recently, I've seen quite a few friends who got into the hobby and are now chasing after it. ROBOT魂 certainly has its magic, drawing you in to collect one after another. However, this series is truly deep; once you fall into the rabbit hole, there's no turning back. Unlike common "popular" mobile suits that get reissued, revised, and released countless times, some non-protagonist, non-mainstream mobile suits often only have a fleeting moment in the spotlight. But I believe those are precisely where the true essence lies!
This Anavel Gato's Gelgoog is actually quite well-produced and enjoyable.
It comes with two head options: one without horns and one with horns. The horned version looks more stylish, but the horn might detach during play, so handle it with care. The eyes are rotatable, but with the head's wide range of articulation, I found myself too lazy to adjust them.
The articulation of the arms and waist is also quite good. The hands are very stable and can grip weapons effectively. That long rifle, despite its length and some heft, can still be held well with one hand, which is quite impressive!
As for the waist and legs, due to design limitations, their range of motion is only average, but perhaps that's precisely a characteristic of the design?
The back features a flip-out section where the beam naginata hilt and shield can be mounted. The shield's paintwork is excellent, offering a great sense of texture.
The beam naginata hilts come in three lengths: short, medium, and long. I've played with the short and long ones, each offering interesting points, and the overall feel is good. I particularly like the beam effect for the naginata; it's quite impressive!
There's also a smaller rifle, which can be held with one hand without issue and can also be combined with the ANIME effect parts for a great look!
As for the most eye-catching feature, it has to be the long rifle. This rifle is even taller than the mobile suit itself, and its body features numerous intricate details, making it quite striking. Did you think its arm would droop? Absolutely no problem. Thanks to the stability of the hand's grip, holding the long rifle is effortless, allowing for dynamic posing with the weapon, very secure.
This product is truly excellent, and if you're interested in the ROBOT魂 0083 series mobile suits, it's definitely worth acquiring!
