The GP00 Blossom is the first mobile suit in the GP series. All mobile suits in the GP series are named after flowers, and "BLOSSOM" refers to "flowering," originally symbolizing the hope that the GP series would flourish like a flower. Unfortunately, in the story, it could not escape its fate of being erased; a flower meant to bloom could not last. Story aside, 0083 still left a deep impression on audiences (apart from the changes in the female protagonist). Let's dive into the review report immediately.

Excellent Paintwork, Beyond Expectations

The paint application on this GP00, when held, feels quite "substantial" (from a ROBOT魂 perspective). What more can be said about the paintwork on a ROBOT魂 mobile suit? Frankly, it doesn't have a strong plastic feel, and the markings on the shoulders and "backpack" are very clear. The overall lines of the mobile suit are quite sharp, indicating a truly well-produced item. As for mold lines, they can still be found but are not overly obvious, so we won't nitpick here.

Excellent Fighter Mode, Great Experience

The biggest feature of the ROBOT魂 GP00 is the inclusion of the Core Fighter and boosters. Although the nose cone is a separate attachment, it poses no issues. By detaching the boosters from the rear of the mobile suit and attaching the hilt sections from both shoulders, you get a very impressive aircraft. The GP00's long cannon can be mounted underneath, adding to the overall appeal. If you've previously purchased effect parts, combining them for play enhances the sense of flight, which is quite excellent. Both swords and the long cannon can be equipped with effect parts – fantastic! Even the small wings have some room for angle adjustment.

The only minor drawback is that the small display stand provided by the official release is simply too small and "short." How can it convey "flight"? Using other display stands provides a much better experience.

Insufficient Articulation

The articulation of the mobile suit's upper body presents no major issues. The head also has no significant problems. As for the arms, the chest section can retract slightly to improve articulation, but the shoulder joints lack an extension mechanism, which significantly limits the range of arm movement. The waist articulation is decent, though naturally, bending forward or backward reveals a noticeable gap, which is acceptable.

The main problem area, just like the GP04, remains the legs. These legs, similarly, cannot spread wide. Firstly, the limited articulation of the skirt armor creates an obstruction, which is the primary issue. Secondly, the thigh joint design appears to be the same as the GP04, naturally preventing them from spreading. As for the knees, their bending range is not ideal due to being obstructed by the calf armor. Furthermore, the ground contact of the feet is insufficient. There is a joint at the "toe" section of the foot, but its utility seems rather limited.

Limited Weapon Posing Options

The most prominent armament this time is undoubtedly the long cannon mounted on the back. The posing mechanism is similar to the "Strike Gundam Launcher Pack," where a mechanical arm connects to the backpack, and the right hand holds the long cannon (the Strike Gundam typically uses its left hand). This method of holding the weapon is identical to the "Gundam Aerial." However, it lacks flexibility during posing.

This is because the mechanical arm is not long enough, resulting in limited actual angles once the hand grips the long cannon. Additionally, the joint connecting the backpack and the mechanical arm is extremely stiff, making angle adjustments difficult. This means that each time an angle needs to be adjusted during play, too much force is required, often necessitating detaching the joint from the backpack for adjustment, which is not very user-friendly.

Nevertheless, when held normally in hand, it is very secure and won't easily fall off. It seems there's a trade-off between playability and secure attachment, making it difficult to achieve both perfectly.

Overall, the mobile suit is still highly recommended for purchase, especially since there aren't many GP00 products available. If one doesn't overly emphasize the leg articulation issues, this GP00 still boasts numerous advantages, with the Core Fighter section being particularly appealing.
