Following the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Bandai has now released Exodia the Forbidden One. This time, Bandai is incredibly generous; instead of requiring five summons, you only need to open your wallet once to summon the strongest Yu-Gi-Oh! monster, Exodia the Forbidden One.
The assembly experience is quite good, and the parts feature numerous hidden gates, which is a blessing for straight-build modelers. Although they are hidden gates, a small reminder: unless you are confident in your nippers, it's still recommended to leave a small bit of the gate when cutting the parts, and then trim it off directly with a hobby knife.
For panel lining this time, I plan to use a Gundam mechanical pencil. All panel lines have been deepened so the mechanical pencil can easily draw the grooves. The time spent on panel lining far exceeded the assembly time, LOL.
I have too many models piled up, so it's time to clear the backlog. This time, I'm using a straight build plus touch-ups to simply complete this Exodia the Forbidden One.
The trade-off for less articulation is an incredibly powerful and massive body. Simple arm and leg movements are enough to make it look incredibly cool. I have to commend Bandai's "black technology"; the entire assembly experience was truly excellent! Below, I'll share the simple production process with everyone.

▼The number of parts is small. This time, it's mostly a straight build, so I directly assembled the parts and then sprayed them with matte clear coat.
▼Before applying the base colors, first spray GAIA gray primer.
▼For metallic colors, because I wanted to be lazy, I uniformly sprayed GAIA black primer.
▼Metallic colors use GAIA, and base colors use OB-24 pre-mixed paint from G-Temple (leftover from the last mecha girl build).
▼A useful small tool available at art supply stores. It's especially good for applying small decals or striped decals.
▼Head
▼Head completed. The chin also uses peel-off stickers. Blue, red, and gold were directly touched up, and the main color was directly sprayed with matte clear coat.
▼Blue: GAIA black primer as base, spray gold after drying, spray GAIA primary blue after gold dries, spray GAIA clear blue after primary blue dries, and finally spray matte clear coat.
▼Upper body completed. White parts were directly sprayed with gloss clear coat (with a small amount of pearl powder added).
▼Very robust legs
▼Completed~ Ready to summon! Exodia the Forbidden One (I wonder how long it takes to train those abdominal muscles).

Above is a simple build shared with everyone. After finishing this one, I thought I could clear one from my backlog, but then I received another arrival notification. My backlog truly only grows larger! Next, I'll share some simple studio photos with everyone.
