Japan's GOODSMILE COMPANY's assembly model series, "MODEROID," will release an assembly model of the mecha "Nellie Brain" (ネリーブレン) from the classic anime series "Brain Powerd" in May 2024! Both the Re-Revival Version color and the Initial Color Version will be available, each priced at 5,300 JPY.
"Brain Powerd" (Japanese title: ブレンパワード, English title: Brain Powerd) is an anime directed by the renowned Japanese animation director Yoshiyuki Tomino (known for "Mobile Suit Gundam") and produced by SUNRISE. It began airing in April 1998 on Japan's WOWOW, with a total of 26 episodes. The robot designs for this work were handled by Mamoru Nagano, and the original character designs by Mutsumi Inomata. The story primarily describes a devastated Earth where a giant ruin called "Orphan" is discovered, along with the self-defense mechas Brain Powerd and Grand Child that emerge from it. The narrative unfolds with the encounter between the protagonist Yu Isami and the heroine Hime, leading to a series of events including battles against opposing forces.
In the original work, Nellie Brain is a new model of Brain Powerd that protagonist Yu Isami encounters in Northern Europe. Initially in an incomplete state, it merges with Yu's mecha "Yuu Brain" upon its "re-revival" (再リバイバル), turning blue and becoming Yu's new main unit. This MODEROID assembly model of Nellie Brain offers both the initial state and the re-revived state color versions (the Initial Color Version is an online exclusive). Standing approximately 16 cm tall, the model features articulated joints throughout. It also includes clear effect parts for the Chakra, interchangeable hand parts, and replacement parts to recreate the opening and closing of the cockpit.
