Japan's GOODSMILE COMPANY's assembly model series "MODEROID" will release an assembly model of the mobile suit "Nellie Brain" (ネリーブレン) from the classic anime series "Brain Powerd" in May 2024! It will be available in two versions: a Re-Revival Color Version and an Initial Color Version, both priced at 5,300 JPY.
"Brain Powerd" (Japanese name: ブレンパワード, English name: Brain Powerd) is an anime directed by renowned Japanese animation director Yoshiyuki Tomino (known for "Mobile Suit Gundam"), produced by SUNRISE. It began airing on WOWOW in Japan in April 1998, with a total of 26 episodes. The robot designs for this work were handled by Mamoru Nagano, and the original character designs by Mutsumi Inomata. The story primarily depicts a disaster-stricken Earth where a colossal ruin called "Orphan" (オルファン) is accidentally discovered. From this, the self-defense mobile suits Brain Powerd and Grand Child emerge. The narrative unfolds with the encounter between protagonist Yu Isami and heroine Hime, leading to a series of events including battles against opposing forces.
In the original work, Nellie Brain is a new Brain Powerd encountered by protagonist Yu Isami in Northern Europe. Initially, it was in an incomplete form. During its Re-Revival (再リバイバル), it merged with Yu's mobile suit "Yuu Brain," turning blue and becoming Yu's new primary machine. This MODEROID assembly model of Nellie Brain will be released in both its initial state and its Re-Revival color versions (the Initial Color Version is an online exclusive). It stands approximately 16 cm tall, with articulated joints throughout the body. It also includes clear effect parts for the Chakra, interchangeable hand parts, and replacement parts to recreate the opening and closing of the cockpit.
