To celebrate the release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PlayStation 5 today (the 20th), Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys also announced yesterday its latest product from the video game: the "Venom" 1/6th scale collectible figure! Estimated to ship in Q3-Q4 2024.
This "Venom" figure, numbered VGM59, is crafted according to the video game's design and faithfully recreates his immensely imposing physique with an impressive height of 53 cm. Playing with him alongside the previously released Peter Parker and Miles truly creates a "grown-up beating up a child" scenario! It features a black rubberized body that better sculpts the muscle lines, excellently replicating the symbiote's spreading, seemingly sticky and slippery surface. The head sculpt meticulously captures the murky quality of the massive eyes, offering two head sculpts – a ferocious grin and a wide-open mouth – paired with three wildly extended tongues, making it incredibly vivid and brutal!
Accessories also include two sets of symbiote effect parts that show it clinging to the body, multiple interchangeable hands including those with sharp claws, and a display base printed with the striking white spider emblem.
