The robot-themed action figure series 'ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E.', released by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS collector's toy division TAMASHII NATIONS, recently announced new products based on "Mobile Suit Z Gundam", with the release date yet to be determined.
Aired in 1985, "Mobile Suit Z Gundam" is the second installment in the Gundam series directed by anime director Yoshiyuki Tomino. The story takes place in Universal Century 0087, after the end of the One Year War. Due to the long-term threat from Zeon remnants, the Earth Federation Forces split into two major military factions: the Titans, who advocated "Earth Supremacy," and the AEUG, who were more friendly to space residents. The intricate power struggles and rising tensions among these three forces ultimately led to the multi-faction conflict known as the "Gryps Conflict."
Currently, Bandai has only displayed the starry sky image with the famous line "You will see the tears of the times," and has not yet revealed which mobile suits will be released. However, classic mobile suits such as the Z Gundam, Gundam MK-II, Hyaku-Shiki, and Qubeley are certainly expected to be included. We can look forward to 'ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E.' faithfully bringing these mobile suits to life with designs that closely match the anime settings, combined with flexible articulation, and a rich array of weapon and effect parts.
