BANPRESTO, the prize figure brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, is releasing the first wave of its "World Collectable Figure (WCF)" series, which miniaturizes numerous anime and manga characters into Q-version figures. This new series will be themed around the global character popularity poll "NARUTOP99" from "Naruto," with "NARUTOP99 Vol.1" slated for release in late November 2023!
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Masashi Kishimoto-sensei's popular manga "NARUTO," a global character popularity poll was held from December 28, 2022, to January 31, 2023, garnering a total of 4,600,000 votes. Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, secured an overwhelming first place, leading to the release of a short spin-off manga, "Naruto: The Whorl Within the Spiral."
"WCF NARUTOP99 Vol.1" is based on the "NARUTOP99 Commemorative Illustration" specially drawn by Masashi Kishimoto-sensei to thank fans. These palm-sized 7 cm figures meticulously recreate the characters' exquisite details in a Q-version style. The first wave includes five characters: Naruto, Shikamaru, Gaara, Jiraiya, and Hashirama Senju. The dynamic poses and costume designs from the illustration are faithfully incorporated into their three-head-tall proportions. Naruto fans and collectors, don't miss out on this series!
