The robot-themed action figure series "ROBOT SPIRITS ver. A.N.I.M.E.", released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., today unveiled the prototype of its latest entry from "Mobile Suit Gundam," the "MA-08 Big Zam." The release date is yet to be determined.

The MA-08 Big Zam was originally a fortress-assault Mobile Armor developed by the Zeon Forces for the capture of Jaburo Base. It was later piloted by Vice Admiral Dozle Zabi to defend Solomon to the death. The unit possesses overwhelming offensive and defensive capabilities, not only equipped with an "I-Field Generator" to repel medium to long-range beam weapons, but also featuring 28 Mega Particle Cannons across its body for all-directional attacks. The largest cannon in the center of the unit can even sink a battleship with a single shot. However, this comes with enormous power consumption, allowing it to operate for only 20 minutes in space.

The "ROBOT SPIRITS Big Zam ver. A.N.I.M.E." boasts a colossal size, several times larger than standard Mobile Suits in the same series, making it a challenging item to commercialize. It thoroughly recreates the fortress-like upper body, while its two massive legs feature numerous articulated joints. Intricate detailing is present on the head antenna, all body cannon muzzles, and the lower thruster nozzles. The display model's head camera and the central massive Mega Particle Cannon even incorporate internal LED light-up mechanisms. If truly commercialized, the price would undoubtedly be substantial.
