From Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY, the popular "Nendoroid" series, which boasts over 1000 different products, will release its latest item, "Nendoroid Ruby," based on the popular anime "Oshi no Ko"! The suggested retail price is 6,100 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in May 2024.
Ruby (ルビー / Hoshino Rubii), whose real name is Hoshino Rubii, is the female protagonist from the Japanese manga "【Oshi no Ko】" (推しの子). She is the fraternal twin daughter of the popular idol Hoshino Ai and Aqua's twin sister. In her previous life, she was a patient cared for by Gorou, who passed away at the young age of 12 due to a serious illness. After reincarnation, she became the daughter of her favorite idol. Because she retained memories of her past life, she was very precocious from infancy and aspired to become an idol from a young age. After entering the performing arts department in high school, she formed the idol group "B-Komachi" (新生B小町) with Kana Arima and MEM-cho, inheriting her mother's legacy.
The "Nendoroid Ruby" stands approximately 10 cm tall, faithfully recreating Ruby's debut stage outfit as part of B-Komachi in a charming chibi style. It comes with three interchangeable face plates: a sparkling "smiling face," an idol-like "winking face," and a surprised "anxious face." Additionally, it includes accessories such as a "microphone," "glow stick," and "fan," along with a variety of interchangeable hand parts to recreate captivating performance scenes~
