Japanese company Aniplex Inc. (Kabushiki-gaisha Anipipurekkusu) will release a new product, the "Hitori Gotoh Maid ver." non-scale figure, based on the highly popular anime 'Bocchi the Rock!' The suggested retail price is 22,000 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in October 2024.
With "Introverts, go rock!" as its central theme, 'Bocchi the Rock!' (ぼっち・ざ・ろっく！) tells the story of Hitori Gotoh, a high school girl with severe social anxiety and a school outcast, who practiced guitar diligently from a young age, hoping to become a rock star and gain attention from her classmates! However, her gloomy personality and inability to interact with others prevented her from forming a band. She could only transform into "Guitar Hero" and upload guitar videos online, until she met Nijika from Shimokitazawa High School. Together with Ryo, Ikuyo, and others, they formed the "Kessoku Band," where she serves as the lead guitarist. Her bandmates affectionately nicknamed her Bocchi-chan.
The Aniplex "Hitori Gotoh Maid ver." non-scale figure, standing approximately 15.5 cm tall, brings Bocchi-chan to life in her maid outfit from the school festival. With a slightly raised head and an awkwardly shy expression, her hands clasped together perfectly convey Bocchi-chan's discomfort. Details such as the ruffles and pleats on her maid uniform are meticulously crafted. It comes with a school chair, but she can also be placed on shelves or tables, and even makes for a cute noodle stopper!
