KOTOBUKIYA, a Japanese toy company renowned for its "ARTFX J" series which creates exquisite three-dimensional figures of Japanese anime and game characters, is releasing the latest "ARTFX J Satoru Gojo Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Ver." 1/8 scale figure, based on the popular anime series "Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Arc"! The suggested retail price is 18,700 JPY, with an estimated release in September 2024.
The second season of the "Jujutsu Kaisen" TV anime, "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Arc," primarily depicts the youthful school life of Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and others, appearing in their fresh-faced high school student forms, and further elaborates on how the two former classmates became sworn enemies. The popular character Suguru Geto, a classmate of Satoru Gojo and Shoko Ieiri during their time at Jujutsu High, was not only Gojo's best friend but also part of the duo known as the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerers. However, after the Star Plasma Vessel escort mission, Geto and Gojo gradually diverged due to differing ideologies.
The "ARTFX J Satoru Gojo Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Ver." 1/8 scale figure stands approximately 23.5 cm tall. Inspired by the impressive "awakening" moment in the series, it recreates Gojo during his Jujutsu High days, after his battle with Toji Fushiguro, when he achieved enlightenment regarding Cursed Technique Reversal and mastered Limitless, resurrecting from a near-death state to become the strongest man – a truly iconic scene! With one hand pointing to the sky and the other to the ground, his arrogant demeanor perfectly captures the moment he declares, "Throughout Heaven and Earth, I Alone Am the Honored One." His uniform jacket and shirt tails are sculpted as if billowing, and the figure is supported by a stand to create a sense of weightless suspension.
Furthermore, the KOTOBUKIYA Store exclusive "ARTFX J Satoru Gojo Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Ver. DX Edition" 1/8 scale figure includes interchangeable facial expression parts. The base is inspired by an anime scene, featuring a fisheye-like distortion on the ground, and uses clouds and mist instead of the standard version's support stand, combined with light ray effect parts, to give it an even more divine effect!
