Japan's Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA) company, known for its "ARTFX J" series which creates exquisite three-dimensional figures of Japanese anime and game characters, has announced the latest "ARTFX J Suguru Geto Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Ver." 1/8 scale figure, following the "Satoru Gojo," based on the popular anime series "Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Arc"! It will be available in both a regular edition and a DX edition, scheduled for release in October 2024.
The second season of the "Jujutsu Kaisen" TV anime, "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Arc," primarily depicts the youthful school life of Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and others, appearing in their fresh-faced Jujutsu High student forms, and further elaborates on how the two former classmates became enemies. The popular character Suguru Geto was in the same class as Satoru Gojo and Shoko Ieiri during their time at Jujutsu High. Besides being best friends with Satoru Gojo, they were also known as the strongest duo of Jujutsu Sorcerers. However, after the Star Plasma Vessel escort mission, Geto and Gojo gradually diverged due to differing ideologies, leading them down separate paths.
The "ARTFX J Suguru Geto Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Ver." 1/8 scale figure stands approximately 18 cm tall. Inspired by Geto's pose while activating his Cursed Spirit Manipulation technique, it faithfully recreates Geto during his Jujutsu High days, wearing his school uniform with voluminous wide-leg pants, a neat bun, and his characteristic peculiar bangs! Black mist, generated when summoning cursed spirits, gathers in his palm. The dark uniform features dynamic wrinkles, reflecting his combat-ready horse stance, and shadow painting enhances the overall three-dimensional effect. The irregularly shaped transparent base showcases the world of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Additionally, the KOTOBUKIYA store exclusive "ARTFX J Suguru Geto Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Ver. DX Edition" 1/8 scale figure includes an interchangeable expression part. The black aura emanating from the summoned cursed spirits coils upwards from the base, with the flowing sensation of the black transparent effect parts creating a beautiful yet ominous effect, imbuing it with an even more powerful presence! It also comes with an interchangeable head sculpt featuring Geto's subtle smile, presenting a different ambiance.
