The large-scale light-up statue series 'Ultimate Article', launched by Japanese model maker Megahouse, recently exhibited several new prototypes under development from the Ultraman series at the 'Ultraman Heroes EXPO 2024' event held in Ikebukuro, Japan. Release dates are yet to be determined.
・Ultimate Article Ultraman Taro
The 'Ultimate Article' series features statues crafted at an impressive height of approximately 40 cm, faithfully recreating the powerful poses of characters from the tokusatsu series with intricate sculpting. They also include interchangeable parts for varied posing and boast rich built-in sound and light effects, allowing eyes or other body parts to light up, just like the suits in the show, and playing classic in-series sound effects or music via a switch on the base.
・Ultimate Article Zetton
The new works exhibited this time include Ultraman Taro, celebrating its 50th anniversary, the original Ultraman's final formidable foe, 'Space Dinosaur Zetton', and the 'Ultraman (Ultraman: Rising)', transformed by protagonist Ken Sato from the animated film 'ULTRAMAN: Rising', co-produced by Tsuburaya Productions and Industrial Light & Magic.
