Japanese toy brand MEDICOM TOY's popular 6-inch action figure series "MAFEX" has announced another Marvel Comics-themed new product, the "X-Men Age of Apocalypse Cyclops" action figure, in addition to the "X-Men: Age of Apocalypse Weapon X." The suggested retail price is 12,980 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in June 2025!
"X-Men: Age of Apocalypse" is an X-Men series storyline developed by Marvel in 1995, which tells of Earth-295's dark future where Apocalypse controls all of North America because Legion traveled back in time and accidentally killed Professor X. In the story, according to Cyclops's account, Weapon X and Cyclops had a disagreement over how to deal with Apocalypse. After a fierce fight, Cyclops had one eye taken by Weapon X, becoming a true cyclops, and Cyclops, after losing his eye, used a laser to sever Weapon X's left arm.
This Age of Apocalypse Cyclops stands approximately 16 cm tall, faithfully recreating his unique long-haired appearance from the Age of Apocalypse. His left arm is painted with a lustrous golden metallic finish, and his special visor, used to suppress his powers, is reproduced in its single-eye form. Accessories include multiple sets of interchangeable hands and four interchangeable head sculpts with different expressions and flowing hair directions, allowing for various display options. Additionally, three types of optic blast effect parts are included: a cross-shaped effect for pre-firing, a sheet-like effect for firing, and a wisp-of-smoke effect for post-attack, allowing for the recreation of various combat poses!
It can be displayed alongside the simultaneously released Weapon X to recreate the battle that only exists in Cyclops's oral account!
