Japan's TAKARA TOMY toy company's high-end toy brand T-SPARK has officially announced the latest product in its "SYNERGENEX (シナジネクス)" series, a MARVEL collaboration featuring the ZOIDS theme: the "Long-Legged Spider Spider-Man Special Edition" (tentative translation, ゾイド SPIDER ZOIDS SPIDER-MAN special)! Simultaneously, the Black Spider-Man Special Edition (BLACK SPIDER-MAN special), inspired by Spider-Man's symbiote suit, also makes its debut. Both are priced at 4,400 JPY and are scheduled for release in April 2025.
The "Long-Legged Spider Spider-Man Special Edition," created with the core concept of "Spider-Man and a spider-type Zoid collaborating to protect the streets of New York City," includes a 1/35 scale "Spider-Man" articulated figure and the Long-Legged Spider. The Spider-Man figure stands 5 cm tall and can strike a variety of poses thanks to its articulation. With interchangeable hands, it can recreate web-shooting combat poses. Furthermore, the dedicated base allows Spider-Man to display even more dynamic poses atop the Long-Legged Spider, significantly enhancing its versatility!
Next, let's look at the spider-type Zoid "Long-Legged Spider," painted in Spider-Man's iconic red and blue colors. In addition to the rich detail sculpted into its organic-looking armor, its prominent abdomen is adorned with web patterns and a spider emblem. By winding the spring, its eight legs move forward. Moreover, this model can also perform the "Instinct Release" operation, similar to the "Spideath (スパイデス) ," allowing it to fold its body and unfurl its wings manually to unleash a special move that can grab enemies!

The "Black Spider-Man Special Edition," debuting simultaneously, shares the same design and specifications as the Spider-Man Special Edition. However, the Long-Legged Spider's main body features a black color scheme accented with a large white spider emblem, giving it an incredibly powerful appearance. The Spider-Man figure and dedicated base also showcase a different style of paint application, which is truly very cool!
