American renowned toy manufacturer Hasbro, at the New York Comic Con (NYCC) held these past few days, unveiled a new product for its Marvel 6-inch action figure series "Marvel Legends" themed after the popular animated series "X-Men '97"—the "Sentinels" action figure. With a suggested retail price of US$174.99, it is now available for pre-order on the Hasbro Pulse official website and is expected to be released in October 2025!
The "Sentinels" were co-created by the father of Marvel, Stan Lee, and legendary comic artist Jack Kirby. They first appeared in 1965 in "Uncanny X-Men" Issue #14. Developed by Trask Industries, they are combat robots designed to detect mutant genes and eliminate mutants. Their powerful combat and reconnaissance abilities, along with their vast numbers, frequently put the X-Men members in peril.
This Sentinel action figure boasts an impressive overall height of 56 cm. While not as large as the previous HasLab crowdfunded version, it is much more affordable. Its sufficiently massive size pairs perfectly with other X-Men series Marvel Legends figures for display!
This figure adopts the design seen in "X-Men '97", the sequel to the 1997 "X-Men" animated series that premiered this year. It features over 80 points of articulation throughout its body, with movable head, arms, legs, torso, hands, and fingers. The hands alone have 25 points of articulation, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses! Accessories include two flame effects of different lengths, as well as interchangeable damaged head, face, and chest parts. These can be combined with other "X-Men '97" series characters to recreate the showdown from the first episode!
