The S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou series, a line of action figures released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., will launch a new product based on the TV drama "Wingman" – the "Wingman" (ウイングマン) action figure. The suggested retail price is 12,100 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in August 2025!
"Wingman" is a manga series by Masakazu Katsura, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 1983 to 1985. It tells the story of Kenta Hirono, a middle school student who yearns to be a transforming hero. He accidentally draws his fictional character "Wingman" in a "Dream Note" from another dimension, gaining the ability to transform into Wingman and fight monsters from another world. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the "Wingman" manga, a live-action TV drama adaptation with the same title officially premiered at the end of last month!
This S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Wingman meticulously recreates Wingman's basic form from the live-action TV drama using the Shinkocchou Seihou technique, which sculpts from the muscles outwards to the costume. This method faithfully reproduces the various textural details of the suit and features painted silver metallic accents. For accessories, it includes a super-rich set of 8 pairs + 1 right interchangeable hands, the long sword Chromgard (Chrome Sword) weapon, the Dream Note filled with various settings, translucent wing parts, and two types of mask replacement parts. These allow for recreating the scene where the mask's wings are thrown as shurikens when performing the Spiral Cut!
