Japan's Megahouse toy company's "UA Monsters" series, known for its large size and sound & light effects, is releasing a new product based on the movie "Godzilla Minus One" – the "Godzilla (2023) 'Operation Seagod' Impression Color Ver." It has a suggested retail price of 32,780 JPY and is scheduled for release in late June 2025!
Released in 2023, "Godzilla Minus One" is a Godzilla film commemorating Godzilla's 70th anniversary. The story returns to post-WWII Japan, recreating the destruction wrought by this nuclear behemoth on the human world and depicting how people in the aftermath confront the colossal disaster that strikes again. The stunning visual effects, created by a special effects team of only 35 people, also led "Godzilla Minus One" to defeat Hollywood blockbusters like Marvel and Mission: Impossible at the 96th Academy Awards, winning the Best Visual Effects award!
This UA Monsters "Godzilla (2023) 'Operation Seagod' Impression Color Ver." stands approximately 30 cm tall, capturing Godzilla's enraged posture as it turns its head and roars. The sculpting faithfully reproduces details such as the sharp dorsal fins extending from its back to its tail and the rough skin texture. Its wide-open maw and fierce eyes exude immense power! The coloring references the scene at the end of the movie where people execute "Operation Seagod" in Sagami Bay for their final confrontation with Godzilla.
