Japan's Megahouse toy company, under its "UA Monsters" series which features large size and sound & light effects, will not only release the "Godzilla (2023) Operation Seawolf Impression Color Ver." but will also simultaneously launch another new product based on the movie "Godzilla -1.0" – the "Godzilla (2023) Ginza Assault Impression Color Ver." It has a suggested retail price of 44,000 JPY and is scheduled for release in late June 2025!
In the middle of the film, Godzilla attacked Ginza, where the protagonist Noriko Oishi was located. It rampaged through the Ginza district, which had just undergone post-war reconstruction, destroying the Nichigeki Theater building and biting through the train Noriko was on. After being attacked by Self-Defense Force tanks, it mercilessly used its atomic breath to level Ginza, also causing Noriko's disappearance.
This "Godzilla (2023) Ginza Assault Impression Color Ver." stands approximately 30 cm tall. It uses the same sculpt as the "Operation Seawolf Impression Color Ver.", featuring sharply sculpted dorsal fins and a rough skin texture. The coloring references the dusty, earthy yellow tones of Godzilla's body when it attacked Ginza in the film, recreating its despair-inducing appearance! The biggest difference in this version is the inclusion of LED lighting and sound effects. It can switch between two modes, ON1 and ON2, via a switch. In ON1 mode, the sound device plays Godzilla's footsteps as it rampages through Ginza. In ON2 mode, it features energy-charging sound effects accompanied by lighting that slowly illuminates from the tail, extending to the dorsal fins and head, recreating Godzilla's majestic appearance as it prepares to unleash its atomic breath!
