American veteran toy brand Mego Corp.'s popular 8-inch action figure series "World's Greatest Super-Heroes" has relaunched due to popular demand, introducing a new Spider-Man-themed product at Disney Store – the "World's Greatest Super-Heroes" 8-inch action figure set, with a suggested retail price of US$89.99, now available on the Disney Store official website!
Mego was founded in New York, USA in 1954. In 1971, Marty Abrams, known as the "Father of Modern Action Figures," took over its operation, launching various TV, movie, and comic-licensed action figure series, including but not limited to famous IPs such as "Star Trek," "The Wizard of Oz," and "Planet of the Apes." The "World's Greatest Super-Heroes" is a popular series that transformed multiple Marvel and DC characters into action figures, and its iconic styling has been referenced and directly adopted by Adult Swim's popular adult stop-motion animation series "Robot Chicken"!
This "Spider-Man 8-Inch Action Figure Set" includes four figures, faithfully recreating the Spider-Man, Green Goblin, and Lizard figures originally released by Mego using classic manufacturing methods, and newly introducing Electro. Each figure features 26 points of articulation, with screen-printed fabric used for the characters' costumes and styling, reproducing all the original accessories. The packaging also replicates the long rectangular box from the 70s, offering collectors the most authentic retro experience!
This set also includes a bonus gold coin, featuring an embossed Spider-Man on the front and the Mego Logo on the back, enhancing the set's collectible value!
