Since the grand opening of the first Pokémon Center in Taiwan at the end of 2022, the franchise has been celebrating its first anniversary. Meanwhile, official Japanese Pokémon Centers continue to drop a steady stream of merchandise, consistently drawing in fans and emptying wallets with their diverse product lineup.
Recently, a rare new snack item was announced: brand-new grape soda flavored gummies inspired by the iconic Pokémon, Ditto (メタモン)! These adorable treats are set to hit Japanese Pokémon Centers starting today, February 15th!

Ditto, a Pokémon that’s been around since the very first generation of the main series games, is famous for its single move, "Transform." It boasts immense popularity in both the games and anime, and its squishy appearance and charming expressions have made it a cash cow for merchandise over the years.

These gummies are specially crafted to capture Ditto's signature "Limber" (じゅうなん) ability, offering a delightfully bouncy and chewy texture that’s utterly addictive when paired with the grape soda flavor.
The gummy designs are incredibly thoughtful, featuring Ditto with various expressions, including smiling and grumpy faces. There are a total of 6 different designs, with each bag containing 12 random pieces. You'll have to open a pack to see which Ditto expressions you get!

Even the packaging is Ditto-themed, showcasing the Pokémon with its arms raised in an undeniably cute pose. Each gummy is individually wrapped, and a pack retails for 540 JPY. Keep an eye out – there's a good chance these will make their way to other Pokémon Centers in the future!
