Created by the late manga artist Yoshito Usui, the classic series Crayon Shin-chan might have ended its manga run, but the TV anime keeps going strong! And of course, the annual movie is a must-see event for fans of all ages, with last year's "Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Our Dinosaur Diary" even smashing box office records.
Late last year, the official announcement dropped for the 31st film in the series: "Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Super Gorgeous! Scorching Kasukabe Dancers" (tentative title, 映画クレヨンしんちゃん 超華麗！灼熱のカスカベダンサーズ). Today (February 27), the official trailer was finally unveiled, and guess who's stealing the spotlight this time? None other than the mysterious Bo! Mark your calendars, because it's set to hit theaters on August 8, 2025.
This flick takes us to the vibrant, culturally rich land of India, a place with 5,000 years of history! And when you think India, you can't forget the dazzling, expressive dance! This marks the first time a "dance"-themed film has graced the "Crayon Shin-chan" series! Get ready to see Shin-chan and the Kasukabe Defense Force bust out some moves and cause some serious chaos!
During their travels, Shin-chan and Bo stumble into a mysterious general store and accidentally wander into a secret backroom. There, they discover a "nose-shaped" backpack. What happens next? Bo shoves the paper from the backpack right up his nose, triggering an astonishing transformation! Suddenly, Bo's snot is gone, and the usually slow-moving Bo becomes agile and sharp-eyed, his personality completely flipped. Get ready for the birth of "Tyrant Bo," a Bo no one recognizes!
In a shocking moment at the end of the trailer, Bo dramatically declares, "Do you guys really know me?" before shaking off Shin-chan's hand! What in the world is going on? Can the Kasukabe Defense Force bring Bo back to his old self and get his snot flowing again?
