TAMA-KYU (たまきゅう), the gashapon brand under Japan's Bushiroad Creative company, is set to release a new animal-themed gashapon series, "Coffee Cat ~ Collection Figures" (ねこぉひ～ コレクションフィギュア), in May 2025! There are six styles to collect, with a suggested retail price of 400 JPY per capsule.
This series not only combines the Japanese words for cat (neko) and coffee (kōhī) but also perfectly merges the "cats are liquid" characteristic, understood by all cat owners, with coffee, creating adorable dark brown coffee cats! Each coffee cat comes with a simple white coffee cup and saucer. Some coffee cats quietly sit in the cup, some stretch out their bodies, others lazily flow over the rim, and there's even one with a milk foam appearance, which is quite interesting. They are perfect for an elegant afternoon tea!
