Issued by BANPRESTO, a prize figure brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, the "Chinza Beast" series of monster-themed sitting soft vinyl figures, which combines cool and cute designs, announced the upcoming release of its latest product from the popular video game "Monster Hunter", "Fierce Battle! Rathalos", scheduled for March 25, 2025.
Rathalos is the most iconic monster in the "Monster Hunter" series. Over 17 meters long, its entire body is covered in red scales. Its powerful, massive wings allow it to fly swiftly at high altitudes. Not only is it ferocious, but it also possesses excellent combat capabilities, able to unleash high-temperature flames that incinerate everything to ash through an internal organ called the "flame sac". Its superior flying ability and eyesight allow Rathalos to lock onto prey and sustain combat from high in the sky. In the original game, Rathalos, which dominated the entire airspace, was known as the "King of the Skies" and was a nightmare for many new hunters.
The "Monster Hunter Chinza Beast Fierce Battle! Rathalos" figure stands approximately 17 cm tall. It features a cute sitting pose with spread wings and a roaring expression, rendered in a Q-version proportion. However, both the fierce head and the realistic sculpting of scales and spines across its body are quite impressive, with color applications faithfully reproducing the fiery red carapace and the distinctive patterns on its wing membranes.
