Kotobukiya, the Japanese model manufacturer, has announced the latest product in its popular mecha girl plastic model kit series, "Frame Arms Girl": "Jinrai (Lancer Ver.)", scheduled for release in September 2025.
Jinrai was originally a custom build by illustrator Fumikane Shimada, who is responsible for the character designs of the "Frame Arms Girl" series, modifying "Frame Arms Gourai". Later, Kotobukiya invited Fumikane Shimada to transform her into a beautiful girl, and she became the fifth character in the "Frame Arms Girl" series even before her Frame Arms prototype was commercialized. She possesses a similar appearance to Gourai and excels at using distinctly Japanese-style weapons such as katanas, razors, kunai, and shurikens.
This time, the released "Jinrai (Lancer Ver.)" is a modified version based on the previously released "Jinrai Indigo Ver." kit. It is released bundled with weapon accessories from the "Hexa Gear" series product "Gigantic Arms Burning Spartan", and the body's molded colors have also been changed to the white, purple, and gunmetal color scheme commonly used in the Hexa Gear series, giving Jinrai a brand new "Lancer" image.
For the Jinrai main body, it comes with multiple PVC molded hand parts, four pre-painted face parts: "Normal Face (forward gaze)", "Normal Face (right gaze)", "Normal Face (left gaze)", and "Shouting Face (forward gaze)", as well as three interchangeable hairstyles: "Ponytail with hair ornament", "Long Ponytail", and "Short Hair". Flexible articulation is achieved through designs such as a waist swing joint and hip sliding joints.
As for the weaponry, the "Large Lance" features a folding mechanism in the central part and an extendable mechanism at the tail end. The "Round Shield" comes with a handle and can be held by hand. A pair of "Universal Mechanical Arms" are mounted on the back; each arm boasts up to 8 points of articulation, allowing them to rotate in multiple directions and suspend the "Large Lance" and "Round Shield" to create dynamic battle poses.
