KOTOBUKIYA, a Japanese model manufacturer, has announced that the latest product in its beautiful girl plastic model series "ARCANADEA," which blends fantasy and sci-fi elements, "Yukumo ReACT-C," is scheduled for release in November 2025.
The third character in the series, Yukumo, is a nature-attribute beast-human DEARS designed by illustrator necömi. Her design combines the "fox spirit" and "miko" (shrine maiden) imagery often used in Japanese mythology, with a fluffy, large tail that is incredibly cute. She is kind-hearted, dislikes conflict, and is quite shy and introverted, not good at communicating with others. However, her perseverance is stronger than most, never giving up until the very last moment. In this "ReACT" series, which changes character attributes, Yukumo's nature attribute has been changed to water attribute.
"Yukumo ReACT-C" is a modified version of the previously released standard edition, with renewed molding colors and paint schemes for all parts. It features light blue hair and a dark blue and white outfit, expressing a water-attribute appearance that blends into a snowy landscape. Additionally, the face parts have been updated to four new expressions, including "sideways glance face," "crying face," "sparkling eyes face," and "shouting face," to convey Yukumo's shy and introverted yet adorable personality.
Apart from the colors, the rest of the figure is essentially the same as the standard version. The body features pull-out knee joints, offering both flexible articulation and elegant leg lines. Other parts, such as the small hair bundles on both sides of the hair, the knot, bell, and shide (paper strips) on the back, the front skirt, and the three-layered fluffy tail base, all have articulated designs. The underside of the tail can also connect to a stand for support, allowing for delicate posing.
Accessories include 6 pairs of interchangeable PVC molded hands, as well as a set of exclusive parts to transform into a gorgeous battle form, resembling a miko holding a shakujo (Buddhist staff) weapon, capable of recreating the staff-blade hidden within the shakujo. Furthermore, each segmented design uses a common 3mm axis connection, and neck parts are included to connect heads from the Frame Arms Girl and Megami Device series, allowing for customization with most plastic model products released by Kotobukiya.
