Japanese model manufacturer Kaiyodo has launched its all-plastic model "ARTPLA" series, and today (the 14th), at the "63rd Shizuoka Hobby Show," they unveiled the prototype of their latest product, "Unit-13," from the "Evangelion New Theatrical Edition" theme.
The "ARTPLA Unit-13" plastic assembly model is simpler to produce and relatively more affordable compared to GK (Garage Kit) production. Sculptor Shinobu Matsumura has created a completely new sculpt, recreating Unit-13's four-armed appearance where the cross-shaped armor on its chest opens to reveal a second pair of arms, drawing two spears. Infused with Matsumura Shinobu's signature organic details, its ferocious pose, stepping on the wreckage of Beast Mode Unit-02 and crushing its cockpit, is incredibly striking!
