Released by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the Gunpla "MG (Master Grade)" series, which incorporates the latest technology, complete part separation, and high posability, debuted its latest product, the prototype of "MG 1/100 Blaze Zaku Phantom (Dearka Elsman Custom)" from the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY," at the "63rd Shizuoka Hobby Show." The ZGMF-1000 Zaku Warrior series was the main mass-produced MS used by the ZAFT military in C.E. 73. Originally, the "New Millennium Series" prototype, powered by nuclear energy, was developed at the end of the previous war. However, after the signing of the Junius Treaty, the "Neutron Jammer Canceller," which circumvented nuclear energy restrictions, could not be used for military equipment, forcing a switch to battery power. Nevertheless, the New Millennium Series still boasted extremely excellent performance, especially the highly versatile "ZGMF-1000 Zaku Warrior," which was equipped with the Wizard System and could switch between various forms such as Blaze, Gunner, Slash, and more, to adapt to battle situations. Simultaneously, a slightly higher-performance, advanced model, the "ZGMF-1001 Zaku Phantom," was designed for commanders and ace pilots.
The "MG 1/100 Blaze Zaku Phantom (Dearka Elsman Custom)" is based on the standard specification previously released by PREMIUM BANDAI, utilizing new molding colors to recreate the characteristic black and gray color scheme of Dearka's custom unit.
