Japan's official Gunpla flagship store, GUNDAM BASE, announced the latest limited product from "Mobile Suit Z Gundam", the "MG 1/100 Hyaku-Shiki Ver.2.0 [Mechanical Core Plating]", scheduled for release in October 2025. An assembled sample was also exhibited at the "63rd Shizuoka Hobby Show".

The MSN-00100 Hyaku-Shiki, piloted by Quattro Bajeena (Char) in the series, originated from the "Z Project" jointly developed by the anti-Federation organization "AEUG" and Anaheim Electronics. It was originally a transformable mobile suit with the development code "δ Gundam", but during testing, it was found that the movable frame could not withstand the stress from the transformation system. Ultimately, the transformation mechanism was canceled, and after redesign, it still possessed outstanding performance for its era. Although the full-body golden anti-beam coating was generally effective in its setting, its appearance design is incredibly cool.

The "MG 1/100 Hyaku-Shiki Ver.2.0 [Mechanical Core Plating]" is a modification based on the previously released regular version. The original champagne gold plated exterior armor has been replaced with clear parts, with silver vapor deposition applied to the inner surface of the parts to bring out the intricate details. Finally, the entire parts are coated with transparent orange paint, expressing the Hyaku-Shiki's golden armor through a unique style that blends transparent luster and metallic texture.

Currently, only an assembled sample of the product is on display, with actual product information to be released at a later date.
