Japan's official Mobile Suit Gundam Gunpla flagship store, GUNDAM BASE, has announced the latest limited-edition product from the theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM", the "HG 1/144 Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II [Clear Color]", scheduled for release in June 2025. An assembled sample was also simultaneously displayed at the "63rd Shizuoka Hobby Show".
The ZGMF-X191M2 Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II, piloted by Athrun Zala, is a new mobile suit improved from its previous machine, the "Infinite Justice Gundam," using the latest technology from Morgenroete. It is equipped with an all-around monitor cockpit, VPS armor, and its armor's external details have also been significantly revamped. A large beam horn has been added to its head for surprise attacks, and the backpack has been replaced with the new propulsion backpack "M2X32E VOLANTES". It gains ultra-high-speed combat capabilities through its new foldable wings, and the leading edges of all four wings can also deploy beam blades. However, since the nuclear power engine used by this machine violates the Junius Treaty, it must usually operate discreetly, disguised as a Z'Gok.
The "HG 1/144 Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II [Clear Color]" is based on the previously released regular version, with modifications. The molding colors of the mobile suit parts have been replaced with highly transparent colors such as clear red and pearl white, differing from the regular version. The dark gray parts for joints, weapons, etc., also feature a shimmering metallic particle texture, similar to clear color products from previous years. This makes it more convenient for special customization techniques such as lighting and glow-in-the-dark paints, presenting a style distinct from regular Gunpla.
Currently, only an assembled sample of the product is on display. Actual product information will be released at a later date.
