Japan's official Mobile Suit Gundam Gunpla flagship store, GUNDAM BASE, announced the latest limited-edition product from Mobile Suit Gundam MSV, "HG 1/144 Gundam MK-III [Clear Color]," slated for release in July 2025. Assembled samples were also displayed at the '63rd Shizuoka Hobby Show'.

MSF-007 Gundam Mk-III is a next-generation Mobile Suit developed by Anaheim Electronics' Dr. Fujita, who researched the "movable frame" technology after AEUG seized the Titans' new MS, the "Gundam Mk-II." Compared to the development direction of variable MS utilized in the "Z Project," the Gundam Mk-III solely focused on strengthening and improving the movable frame. In addition to maintaining strength, it achieved movement performance closer to that of the human body. Its armor, weaponry, and thruster systems were made independent, significantly reducing the difficulty of mass production and modification. In its initial planning, the Gundam Mk-III was originally intended to appear in the anime as a new Titans unit but was scrapped due to "too many appearing mobile suits."

"HG 1/144 Gundam MK-III [Clear Color]" is a modification of the previously released regular version. The molding colors of the mobile suit parts have been replaced with highly transparent colors different from the regular version, such as clear gray-blue and clear red. The dark gray parts, including joints and weapons, also feature a shimmering metallic particle texture, similar to clear color products from previous years. This makes it more convenient for special customization techniques like lighting or glow-in-the-dark paints, presenting a style distinct from regular Gunpla.
Currently, only assembled samples of the product are on display; actual product information will be released at a later date.
