Japan's official Gunpla flagship store, GUNDAM BASE, announced the latest limited-edition product from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, the "HG Med", scheduled for release in August 2025. An assembled sample was also displayed at the "63rd Shizuoka Hobby Show".
In the series, the Med is an engineering mini MS utilized by the Earth Federation Forces. Its cockpit features a hemispherical transparent canopy. It moves using four retractable legs capable of gripping objects, and performs tasks with two slender mechanical arms. Several thrusters on the front, rear, and shoulders of the fuselage control its attitude in zero-gravity environments.
The "HG Med" is produced with molded parts in colors such as yellow and black, recreating its retractable legs and arms. The claws at the ends of its limbs also feature movable mechanisms. The distinctive hemispherical transparent canopy is made from clear brown parts, allowing the intricate internal structure of the cockpit to be seen. Additionally, the accessories include single-core wire parts to recreate the power cable structure connecting the arms to the main body.
