BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, which issues the "METAL ROBOT Damashii" series combining metallic paint finishes and die-cast frames, has announced the latest product from the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY", the "Destiny Gundam [Re:Coordinate] Exclusive Wings of Light & Effect Parts Set", scheduled for release in November 2025. This product will be sold exclusively on the official online store PREMIUM BANDAI (Tamashii Web Shop).
The ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam is the latest model developed under the instruction of P.L.A.N.T. Supreme Council Chairman Gilbert Durandal before ZAFT's decisive battle with the Earth Alliance, serving as the successor mobile suit for ZAFT pilot Shinn Asuka. Developed based on the Impulse Gundam's design, the Destiny Gundam integrates the equipment of the three "Silhouette Systems" (Force, Blast, and Sword). It also utilizes technologies prohibited by the Junius Treaty, such as the Hyper Duetrion Engine and Mirage Colloid particles. It is capable of deploying "Wings of Light" for super-acceleration and scattering Mirage Colloid particles to create afterimages, with its performance far surpassing that of second-generation mobile suits like the Impulse Gundam.
This product is a modified version based on the previously released regular edition, re-released to match the revamped colors and body markings of the "METAL ROBOT Damashii Destiny Gundam [Re:Coordinate]" revised edition. The set includes dynamic "Wings of Light" effect parts, beam boomerang spinning effects, enlarged "Palm Fiocina" (Palm Cannon) effect, the "Arondight" Beam Sword, and the High-Energy Long-Range Beam Cannon.
Both the enlarged armaments and effect parts are designed to match the [Re:Coordinate] revamped colors and original marking prints. When combined with the separately sold main figure, they can recreate the dynamic pose of the magnificent "Wings of Light" deployment, as well as poses holding the Beam Sword and High-Energy Long-Range Beam Cannon, reminiscent of anime scene perspectives.
