Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA) has announced the latest product from VANILLAWARE's fantasy strategy RPG "Unicorn Overlord," the"Rosalinde 1/7 Scale Figure," slated for release in December 2025.
Unicorn Overlord continues VANILLAWARE's exceptionally excellent 2D art design, building a fantasy world with stunning high-resolution illustrations and giving each character lively action performances. The story is set on the "Fevrith Continent," composed of five nations. Due to General Valmore of the Cornia Kingdom initiating a rebellion, the nations were swiftly invaded by the New Zenoiran Empire. The protagonist, Alain, also became a fallen prince of a ruined kingdom in his youth. He diligently studied swordsmanship and military strategy, and at the age of 17, he wielded the legendary "Ring of the Unicorn" and led the Liberation Army to save the world dominated by the Empire.
This third character released by Kotobukiya, "Rosalinde," is a dark elf woman who serves as an augur in the elven nation of "Elheim," assisting her twin sister Eltrinde. She successfully escaped when the New Zenoiran Empire invaded, but suffered repeated defeats when leading a counterattack. It wasn't until she joined forces with the resistance army led by protagonist Alain that they successfully repelled the Imperial army and rescued Eltrinde, whose consciousness had been stolen.
The "Rosalinde 1/7 Scale Figure" faithfully recreates her character illustration from the game in three dimensions, presenting a dynamic pose at an approximate height of 28 cm. It sculpts her graceful figure, flowing hair and cape, and the intricate details of her weapon. The figure also utilizes rich color applications to express the light texture of her silver-white hair, the dark skin characteristic of a dark elf, and the metallic parts of her outfit and weapon.
