BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS has announced the commercialization of the protagonist mobile suit "gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX" from the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," as part of the 6-inch action figure series "GUNDAM UNIVERSE", designed for "Mobile Suit Gundam" fans worldwide. The release date is yet to be determined.
In the timeline of "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," where the Principality of Zeon won the One Year War, the gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX is the first Gundam manufactured by the Principality of Zeon military in Universal Century 0085, also known as "Gundam QuuuuuuX." This mobile suit possesses extremely superior mobility, capable of agile movements in space. For weaponry, the GQuuuuuuX is equipped with a unique ring-bladed dedicated beam saber, a dedicated beam rifle, and a shield, along with built-in fixed armaments such as neck-mounted vulcan cannons, smoke grenade launchers, and decoy balloons.
The most significant feature of this mobile suit is its new "Omega Psycommu System." Once activated, it switches from an analog joystick control system to brainwave control, allowing the mobile suit to instantly adopt offensive and defensive postures through the pilot's direct thoughts and reactions. However, due to this, the GQuuuuuuX demands exceptionally high qualifications and abilities from its pilot, and prolonged activation of the "Omega Psycommu System" also places a considerable burden on the pilot.
Currently, only partial promotional images have been released for the "GUNDAM UNIVERSE gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX." The overall design, based on Ikuto Yamashita's original concepts, integrates the GUNDAM UNIVERSE series style, reproducing its unique armor design and rich colors. It comes with armaments such as a heat axe, beam rifle, and shield, allowing for dynamic posing thanks to the series' characteristic high-strength joint structure.
