Approximately four months have passed since the last time this same kit was produced; this current project is a client commission. The client requested that the Godzilla biological sections be painted in the style of Burning Godzilla. The primary focus of this production was the Burning Godzilla color scheme, with corresponding adjustments made to the main body colors of Unit-01. Utilizing the cracks in the kit's left arm armor and the left palm, the colors were designed to create a "flame palm" effect, with the recessed areas of the cracked armor painted to appear as if burning from within. The transition from the palm to the arm features a gradient from bright yellow to dark red, creating a layered effect. To complement the intense burning effect of the Crimson Lotus, the mechanical sections of Unit-01 had their three-dimensional presence enhanced in each area, with panel lining and shading treated with more vibrant colors. The mouth area also utilized a wider range of colors to achieve a more organic feel, while the dark skin of Godzilla was given more dry brushing and washes to bring out its three-dimensionality. We are delighted with the client's concept; the resulting creation offers a distinct aesthetic, and we hope everyone enjoys it!
