Max Factory, a Japanese model manufacturer, has announced that the popular articulated figure series 'figma' will release its latest product from the anime 'Bocchi the Rock!', 'Hitori Gotoh'. Pre-orders are set to open on October 2, 2025, at 12:00 PM JST. A wealth of product images and detailed explanations have also been revealed in advance. Currently, the product is exclusively available for purchase through Good Smile Company Online Shop, amiami, Amazon, and Animate.
The protagonist, Hitori Gotoh, known as 'Bocchi-chan' by her bandmates, is a gloomy high school girl with extreme social anxiety and even fear of crowds. Since middle school, she has practiced guitar for 6 hours daily, developing guitar playing skills close to a professional musician. She also anonymously uploads performance videos online as 'Guitar Hero,' hoping to gain recognition to satisfy her extremely low self-esteem. However, in reality, she often talks to herself, fantasizes, and experiences 'youth syndrome' episodes, leading to various bizarre behaviors. The series even uses different art styles to depict her suffering through grotesque facial expressions.
The 'figma Hitori Gotoh' is crafted with an articulated specification, standing approximately 14.5 cm tall. Its design meticulously captures her movable pink hair and sports jacket upper body. It utilizes figma's specialized joint parts and precise articulation divisions to provide flexible poseability. The skirt part is made of fabric material, completely freeing the range of motion for her legs. Furthermore, the hip joint parts feature a newly designed specification, allowing for a cute sitting pose when combined with the 'interchangeable parts for seiza' on the abdomen.
A major highlight of this product is the rich variety of expression parts that recreate her various 'face-breaking' moments from the original work. A total of 6 interchangeable expression parts are included: a 'normal face,' a 'smiling face,' and 4 hilarious 'distorted faces.' These allow for recreating Bocchi-chan's twisted features when anxious, her soul-leaving-her-body with green liquid spewing, her face turning pale, and even the highly artistic 'Picasso-esque distorted face,' which is perfectly recreated using dedicated front hair parts.
Accessory parts include three pairs of sculpted hands and an electric guitar, allowing you to pose Bocchi-chan seriously playing her guitar. There's also a 'ripe mango cardboard box' that can completely cover Bocchi-chan's body; simply glue the unfolded paper diagram to complete the box!
