Following ARTDICTED's inaugural art exhibition "Hong Kong Girl by Ushiki Masanori" in 2022, we are incredibly honored to announce that in 2025, the renowned Japanese artist Masanori Ushiki's "Fight！ファイト！" original works solo exhibition is returning to Hong Kong! The exhibition will be held from October 2 to November 3, 2025, at the popular lifestyle select shop, General Purpose Flagship Store, in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. This exhibition will feature 40 brand-new FIGHTERS paintings and marks the first time Ushiki-sensei will exhibit his FIGHTER character series in Hong Kong, offering everyone a chance to experience his unique artistic style and original character designs.
Masanori Ushiki is an illustrator and visual artist from Tokyo whose inspiration is drawn from a diverse range of elements including pop culture, Japanese manga, sci-fi films, boy culture, action games, anime, and Japanese tokusatsu films. His work covers a variety of themes such as humorous portraits, stylistically diverse Girl Gangs, Fighter heroes, and Fashion characters, and has been exhibited at renowned venues like TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS GALLERY and TSUTAYA DAIKANYAMA T-SITE GALLERY.
The "Fight！ファイト！" exhibition continues the original character designs that Ushiki-sensei has been creating for the past 17 years, with each painting inspired by the tokusatsu TV shows, hero comics, and wrestlers of his childhood, showcasing the power and vitality of the FIGHTERS. Ushiki's unique style combines visual creativity with a fashion aesthetic, allowing viewers to resonate with his work on multiple levels.
Additionally, limited-edition Hong Kong exclusive merchandise will be available for purchase at the exhibition venue. This includes Mr. Ushiki's Puppy Chan Sofubi toy and a special limited-edition T-shirt created for this exhibition. On the day of the VIP Preview, Masanori Ushiki will be in attendance to create live black-and-white portraits for guests—a truly rare opportunity! About Masanori Ushiki
Born in Japan in 1981, he graduated from Musashino Art University's College of Art and Design in 2004. After gaining experience in various fields, including a stationery design studio, a web development company, and a game application developer, he began his independent career in 2011. Currently based in both Tokyo and Kyoto, his illustration work centers around original characters. His works consistently blend humor, fashion, and an imagination for a better future.
