Japan's official Gunpla flagship store, GUNDAM BASE, has announced the latest limited-edition product from《Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ》, the "Figure-rise Standard Puru Two [GUNDAM BASE Color]", scheduled to go on sale starting October 11, 2025.
Towards the end of the One Year War, the "Psycommu System" developed by the Principality of Zeon military brought forth weapons like the "Funnel" that could launch all-range attacks, revealing the potential of Mobile Suits and Newtype pilots, as well as their strategic value in influencing future battlefields. While Mobile Suits could be mass-produced, the crucial Newtype pilots were extremely rare. The Earth Federation, distrusting Newtypes, resorted to inhumane "Cyber Newtype" modifications and brainwashing surgeries as alternatives, while Haman's Neo Zeon used cloning technology to mass-produce Newtypes, the "Puru Series". However, the fate of the Puru sisters was no better than that of the Cyber Newtypes; one by one, young lives perished in the merciless flames of war, becoming tools and sacrifices of war.
The "Figure-rise Standard Puru Two [GUNDAM BASE Color]" is a modification of the previously released regular version. It redesigns Puru Two's pilot suit using the white, aqua blue, and dark blue colors from the GUNDAM BASE logo, and includes stickers printed with the GUNDAM BASE logo. The model's packaging also features an illustration of Puru Two standing in front of GUNDAM BASE, portraying a cute signboard girl image.
Other specifications are essentially the same as the regular version. It includes one pre-printed face part and two face parts for self-application using water decals, as well as two interchangeable head styles (helmet and headgear). The neck, chest, and limbs feature flexible articulation, allowing for various poses with multiple hand parts and a pistol. Additionally, the product specially includes an interchangeable chest part with an unbuttoned collar, allowing for the recreation of the sad appearance from the cover illustration of video tape volume 10, where she seems imprisoned and dominated by the Psyco Gundam Mk-II, unable to escape her fate.
