Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. collector's toy division TAMASHII NATIONS has announced the latest product from the "Original SD Gundam World" plastic model kit series, based on "New SD Gundam Gaiden: Golden Myth": the "Golden God Superior Kaiser / Sun God God Kaiser 2 Great Gods Combination Set", scheduled for release in March 2026.
In ancient times, Golden God Superior Kaiser, one of the Twelve Gods, engaged in a fierce battle with the God of Destruction Baroquegun. Although Superior Kaiser emerged victorious, he suffered fatal damage and could not maintain his original form, causing his core, the Superior Dragon, to separate from his body, the Kaiser Dragon. The Superior Dragon further split into "Knight Gundam" and "Satan Gundam". In subsequent stories, after resurrection and separation, it evolved into "Superior Dragon SR".
However, by the time of "Golden Myth", Superior Dragon SR ventured alone to the sun to purify an anomaly, ultimately sacrificing its life. The residual power within it transformed into "Holy Meteor", a testament to the golden soul, and rained down across the world. But its physical body was possessed by the grudges of Dark Lord Master Gundam, becoming the final and strongest BOSS of "Golden Myth", the Dark Superior Dragon.
The Sun Knight God Gundam, formed by the fusion of the "Neo Shuffle Alliance" who inherited the golden soul, combined with Kaiser Dragon to become Sun God God Kaiser, engaging in a decisive battle with the Dark Superior Dragon and successfully freeing it from evil. The Superior Dragon, once again imbued with the golden soul, evolved into "S Superior Dragon" and fused with Kaiser Dragon, finally resurrecting the ancient Golden God Superior Kaiser. With his power, the land devastated by war was revived.
The "Original SD Gundam World Golden God Superior Kaiser / Sun God God Kaiser 2 Great Gods Combination Set" kit is made with completely new sculpted parts and includes four units: Tyrant Kaiser Wyvern, S Superior Dragon, Sun Knight God Gundam, and Sun Machine Sunshine Meteor. It utilizes plated parts, pre-painted parts, and multiple molding colors to achieve rich armor colors and a golden sheen.
The completed S Superior Dragon, standing approximately 45mm tall, can combine with the Tyrant Kaiser Wyvern through partial interchangeable parts and transformation mechanisms to form the Golden God Superior Kaiser, which stands approximately 20 cm tall. The head antenna comes with two sizes, one for S Superior Dragon and one for Superior Kaiser, for interchangeability. The neck, limbs, and wings all have excellent articulation, allowing for natural battle poses.
The Sun Knight God Gundam, of the same size, comes with its dedicated weapon, the "God Sword", which can be equipped. The Original SD Gundam model kit's original support machine, the Sun Machine Sunshine Meteor, is composed of various parts necessary for combining into Sun God. When combined with the Tyrant Kaiser Wyvern, it forms the Sun God God Kaiser, standing approximately 20 cm tall. Its chest features a deployment mechanism to recreate Super Mode, and the special hand parts for its ultimate attack, "God Power Palm", are made of glow-in-the-dark material.
