Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd. Candy Toy Division, BANDAI CANDY, has announced the latest product from the manga “Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Steel 7” for its popular Candy Toy series “FW GUNDAM CONVERGE”: the “FW GUNDAM CONVERGE CORE Dictus Set”, scheduled for release in March 2026.
“Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Steel 7” depicts the final battle between the Crossbone Vanguard and the Jupiter Empire in Universal Century 0136. After the new Jupiter Empire president, Callisto of Light, took office, he planned to use the super long-range colony laser cannon "Divine Judgment" to launch the devastating "Divine Thunder Plan" against Earth. The leader of the anti-Callisto faction, Europa Dukakis, escaped Jupiter and informed the Crossbone Vanguard of the plan. With only two weeks until the launch date, and conventional space travel to Jupiter taking three months, Tobia and his comrades had no choice but to gather seven elite warriors to travel to Jupiter aboard "Beam Sails" to thwart the Callisto brothers' ambitions.
Known as the "Left Finger Pointing to Justice" and the "Right Finger of Free Existence," the Dictus is the Mobile Suit piloted by the Jupiter Empire presidents, the twin brothers "Callisto of Light" and "Callisto of Shadow," during the final battle. This machine not only boasts an extremely unique appearance, capable of transforming into a giant claw-like MA (Mobile Armor) form, but its performance also surpasses most Federation and Jupiter military machines of the time. It is equipped with a Mega Particle Cannon, Beam Claws, Beam Guns, Beam Axes, and Feather Funnels. In its MA form, it can deploy an I-Field to defend against beam weapons, rapidly approaching enemy Mobile Suits to crush them. Its biggest weakness is its unprotected rear. If the telepathically linked Callisto brothers had appeared on the battlefield together, the combat power of these two Mobile Suits would have made the Steel 7's struggle even harder. Fortunately, Callisto of Shadow was defeated earlier, so in the decisive battle, he could only assist Callisto of Light's combat in the form of a bio-computer.
The “FW GUNDAM CONVERGE CORE Dictus Set” features completely new molds for the two Dictus units piloted by the Callisto brothers. It meticulously recreates their alien-like design and distinct black-and-white color scheme in a low-head-height proportion, and includes Beam Axe weaponry. Furthermore, the product individually produces the giant claw-like MA forms after the two units transform, and allows for the recreation of the beam blades extending from the fingertips through part swapping. This is truly a deluxe set that includes four machine forms at once.
