Bandai Co., Ltd. of Japan has announced the latest product in its new soft vinyl figure series 'JAPAN GODZILLA', based on Toho's monster series Godzilla. The 'Godzilla (2023) Autumn Leaves Color' is scheduled to be sold exclusively at the official Godzilla Store, 'GODZILLA STORE', starting October 29, 2025.
The new 'JAPAN GODZILLA' series differs from Bandai's currently released 'MOVIE MONSTER' and other soft vinyl figures that primarily depict original character colors. This series applies color schemes inspired by Japanese culture and landscapes, such as ink wash paintings and Mount Fuji, to the base of the Godzilla series soft vinyl figures. This allows tourists visiting Japan from other countries, who are fans of the Godzilla IP, to purchase suitable souvenirs to take home.
The newly launched 'JAPAN GODZILLA Godzilla (2023) Autumn Leaves Color' uses the same transparent 5-inch 'Godzilla (2023)' soft vinyl figure as its base, similar to the three previously released products. It features maple leaf-like red, orange, and green colors on its dorsal fins, body, and lower half, evoking an autumn image akin to "clear inside and out, autumn leaves fill the sky." This allows tourists visiting Japan during the autumn foliage season to also bring home a Godzilla figure with an autumn leaves color scheme.
