Japanese figure manufacturer Phat! has once again announced the latest scale figure product from the popular manga "Umamusume: Pretty Derby - Cinderella Gray," following "Oguri Cap." The "Tamamo Cross 1/7 Scale Figure" is expected to be released in September 2026.
The spin-off manga series "Umamusume: Pretty Derby - Cinderella Gray," derived from Cygames' highly popular multimedia project "Umamusume: Pretty Derby," is based on the racing career of the horse Oguri Cap, known as the "Gray Monster" in 1980s Japan. It depicts the legendary Umamusume Oguri Cap, hailing from Gifu, rising to prominence from local races, and after being scouted by Student Council President Symboli Rudolf, transferring to Central Tracen Academy to compete in the Twinkle Series. With the goal of "becoming Japan's number one Umamusume," she engages in passionate battles against elite Umamusume from all corners.
The "Tamamo Cross" being commercialized this time is the greatest rival of the protagonist Oguri Cap in the White Lightning arc. Though a fellow gray-haired Umamusume and petite in stature, she possesses immense explosive power and presence. After seeing Oguri Cap as a rival, she achieved six consecutive major victories, including the Spring Tenno Sho. And in the Autumn Tenno Sho, she awakened to the "Zone," a realm only achievable by Umamusume capable of creating an era. Her lightning-fast, tempestuous form earned her the moniker "White Lightning."
The "Tamamo Cross 1/7 Scale Figure" is crafted in her cool winning uniform. Standing approximately 24 cm tall, her petite yet muscular physique is evident when compared to the "Oguri Cap" of the same scale. It faithfully recreates her fanged smile and powerful, confident hands-on-hips pose from the original manga. From her headpiece and gray hair to her tail, all are rendered with extremely dynamic sculpting. The rich details of her winning uniform, such as wrinkles, buttons, and zippers, are meticulously sculpted. Rich color applications and decals reproduce the red, blue, and white main color scheme and the lightning patterns throughout, imbuing it with a realistic texture. The base incorporates the imagery of the "Zone," featuring a cool lightning pattern.
