Japan's TAKARA TOMY company, known for its famous doll toy "Licca-chan" (リカちゃん), is launching a powerful new collaboration product with the popular anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" – the "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End x Licca-chan Frieren" collaboration doll. The suggested retail price is 5,500 JPY, with an expected release in December 2025!
"Licca-chan" first debuted in 1967 as a fashion doll series manufactured and released by the Japanese toy company Takara (タカラ). Upon its introduction, it swiftly defeated its strong American rival, Mattel's Barbie doll, in the Japanese girls' toy market, only to collaborate with Mattel again in the 1980s.
Licca-chan has previously released numerous collaboration products with popular anime such as "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" and "Oshi no Ko"! This time, the design team has given Licca her iconic silver-white twin-tail hairstyle. Frieren's white dress and cape are meticulously recreated using fabric, and the crucial elf ears are included as accessories, with the red earrings on them faithfully reproduced, allowing Licca to perfectly transform into the elf mage who has lived for a thousand years!
