SQUARE ENIX Co., Ltd. of Japan has announced that the latest product from their game 'FINAL FANTASY XII', 'Fran', will be released in May 2026. This figure is part of the new finished action figure series, 'PLAY ARTS True', which has evolved from 'PLAY ARTS Kai'.
Fran is a Viera from Eruyt Village in the Golmore Jungle. Doubting her people's precept of "must remain with the forest," she yearned for freedom and chose to leave the forest 50 years ago to pursue it. Although she gradually lost the Viera's ability to hear the "Voice of the Wood," she still possesses excellent swordsmanship and archery skills. After meeting Balthier, who shared a similar fate, the two became an excellent sky pirate duo.
"PLAY ARTS True Fran" is an action figure approximately 32 cm tall. The articulated body has been improved based on the 'PLAY ARTS Kai' series, adopting new joint parts and hip joint designs. Furthermore, the ratchet articulation mechanism found in previous products has been removed, allowing for a smoother and wider range of motion. In addition, the eyeball parts also feature a newly designed articulation mechanism, allowing for changes in gaze to match body movements.
The overall sculpt faithfully recreates the Viera's rabbit-like furry ears and alluring body curves. The black armor, clinging to her brown skin, precisely reproduces its elaborate patterned design, and its metallic texture is expressed through paintwork. Furthermore, the sheer fabric part on her abdomen is rendered with translucent material to recreate its texture, making her sexy abdominal contours subtly visible. Accessories include one interchangeable face part, multiple hand parts, a gun, and a bow and arrow. The bowstring of the bow is made from an elastic string, allowing for dynamic poses of Fran drawing her bow in combat.
