The popular action figure series 'S.H.Figuarts', released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced its latest product from the tokusatsu series 'Ultraman Nexus', the 'Ultraman Nexus Anphans', scheduled for release in April 2026.
The legendary Giant of Light, 'Ultraman Noa', who has protected the peace of the entire universe since ancient times, transformed into his incomplete form 'THE NEXT' after an epic, dimension-spanning battle with his arch-nemesis, the Dark Giant Dark Zagi, having nearly exhausted all his power. In the first work of the series, 'ULTRAMAN', he came to Earth to pursue the Space Beast 'THE ONE' and merged with Shunichi Maki, a fighter pilot of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, regaining some of his power as Maki's determination to protect his family grew. In the sequel, 'Ultraman Nexus', Noa awakened from a brief slumber due to the arrival of a giant Space Beast. He merged with new hosts such as Jun Himeya and Kazuki Komon, and came to be known as 'Ultraman Nexus'.
The 'S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Nexus Anphans' released this time is the initial basic form from the series. It is produced with an articulated specification of approximately 15 cm in height. The overall sculpt is thoroughly supervised by Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department, meticulously recreating the silver-armored head and body. Rich color applications are used to express the metallic texture of the silver parts, and the joint parts also feature complete color painting and a design that prevents them from being easily exposed, reducing visual breaks during posing.
The overall articulation also incorporates various designs tailored to Nexus's unique appearance. Both the shoulders and elbows feature pull-out joint structures, which reduce articulation interference and expand the range of wrist movement. The waist adopts a new mechanism that allows for significant forward bending, and combined with the pull-out structure of the legs, it can recreate cool kneeling poses. Accessories include five pairs of interchangeable hands, and charging and firing effects for the special move 'Cross Ray Storm'!
