From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, the transforming alloy toy "DX Chogokin" series has announced the release of the Macross Delta 10th anniversary commemorative product "VF-31A Kairos Macross Delta 10th Anniv.", scheduled for April 2026.
The VF-31A Kairos is the main variable fighter utilized by the intergalactic conglomerate "Chaos" in the latter half of the 2060s. Compared to the Delta Squadron's specialized "Siegfried" variant, which is dedicated to escorting the music group "Walküre," the standard Kairos is a combat-mission-specialized model used by Alpha, Beta, and Gamma Squadrons. It features a compound delta wing and enlarged canards but does not possess a fold wave system.
The "DX Chogokin VF-31A Kairos Macross Delta 10th Anniv." is a modified version based on the standard release from 2018. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Macross Delta broadcast, it features original fuselage markings designed with elements such as the "Δ10" designation and the "Walküre" LOGO, representing the 10th unit belonging to Delta Squadron.
Other specifications remain the same as the standard version. Its large size, approximately 26 cm tall, not only meticulously sculpts the exterior armor details, cockpit, and internal mechanical structures, but also features an internal movable frame made of alloy material, providing both strength and flexible articulation. It can also achieve the characteristic three-stage complete transformation mechanism of FIGHTER, GERWALK, and BATTROID seen in the series. Accessories include 6 pairs of interchangeable hands, a combat knife, a beam gun pod, a pilot figure that can be placed in the cockpit, and a dedicated display stand, allowing for cool battle poses in each form.
