BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has officially announced the highly anticipated second volume in its brand-new Mobile Suit Gundam-themed candy toy series, 'GUNDAM SUPERIOR DIFAIN'. The latest product, 'GUNDAM SUPERIOR DIFAIN No.02', is slated for release in September 2026.
The 'GUNDAM SUPERIOR DIFAIN' series presents Gundam candy toys in charming SD (Super Deformed) proportions, meticulously capturing intricate mobile suit details within a compact height of approximately 38mm. Following the successful approach of 'GUNDAM ARTIFACT', these non-articulated model body parts are molded in a synthetic resin-like yellowish-brown, delivering a premium texture reminiscent of Garage Kit (GK) models and inviting enthusiasts to fully unleash their creativity through painting and customization.
This thrilling second volume will proudly feature two iconic protagonist mobile suits from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack: the formidable 'ν Gundam' and the majestic 'Sazabi'. Joining them are two high-mobility Zeon military units from the Universal Century: the swift 'Kampfer' and the powerful 'High Mobility Zaku II'. Furthermore, the coveted slot for the SD Gundam Series is bestowed upon the immensely popular and legendary character, 'Superior Dragon'.
Despite their diminutive size of less than four centimeters, these five mobile suits boast exquisitely sculpted mechanical details that offer a fresh take on their original designs. Notably, the High Mobility Zaku II provides the exciting option to choose between head sculpts with or without an antenna. Each figure is dynamically posed in a battle-ready stance, perfect for recreating impressive scenes utilizing their signature armaments. As an added bonus, this second volume will also include one randomly selected metallic-textured sticker, featuring a total of 12 distinct original mobile suit artworks, including those from this release, making them highly collectible.
