The project aims to bring to life Victory Saber, the titular protagonist from "Transformers: Victory."
"Transformers: Victory" (戦え!超ロボット生命体 トランスフォーマービクトリー), where "V" stands for Victory, is a 1989 Japanese animated series produced by Toei Animation. Serving as a direct sequel to "Transformers: Super-God Masterforce," the show features Star Saber as its main protagonist. Star Saber possesses the ability to transform and combine with a jet. Later in the series, he gains the power to combine with Ginrai, a character who was rebuilt after a near-fatal incident and bears a striking resemblance to Optimus Prime. This rebuilt Ginrai is then renamed Victory Leo. The ultimate combination of these two heroes is known as Victory Saber, a powerful form they achieve while uttering their iconic call, "Star Light Transformation, Thunder Union!"
Hasbro's current HasLab crowdfunding project seeks to faithfully recreate both Star Saber and Victory Leo, allowing fans to form the magnificent Victory Saber. The figures are designed to perfectly replicate their on-screen transformation sequences. The campaign is now live, with a primary funding goal of 11,000 backers. Each pledge starts at $179.99 USD. Should the project reach additional stretch goals at 14,000, 17,000, and 20,000 pledges, Hasbro will include exclusive accessories such as additional cannons and a display stand.
